Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy with Nutrition

Leah Cannady M.Ed, CCC-SLP and
Emily Kittrell,
MOTR/L
Leah Cannady has been a speech
language pathologist for seventeen years. She received both her BS and M.Ed from
University of Central Oklahoma. Leah has practiced in both inpatient and
outpatient hospital settings, rehabilitation hospital, critical/acute care and
NICU. Leah served as president of Oklahoma Academy for Medical Speech
Pathologists for several years. Leah has treated neonates, children,
adolescents, adults and geriatric patients in the field of dysphagia.
Emily Kittrell graduated from
OUHSC with a bachelor's degree in Allied Health Studies in 2006 and with
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2008. She worked in the acute care
setting at Midwest Regional for two years. Emily is now working in a SNF setting
for Ultrya Rehabilitation and has been there for two years as well.

Shoppers had the opportunity to ask questions from dietitians and dietetics students, and we could promote dietitians as nutrition experts.
